Testosterone Fertility Study
A while back there was a small study done. They found a group of guys who had low sperm counts and reduced fertility.
For 12 weeks, they gave these men 80 mg of testosterone undecanoate per day.
After the 12 week period, two thirds of the men saw sperms concentrations jump 50% higher than the controls.
All but one of the test subjects saw a substanial jump in sperm production.
Testosterone does not produce sperm directly, the testis do, but it is involved indirectly.
As the study showed, increase testosterone, and you'll see an increase in sperm production.
A supplement company by the name of Michael's has come up with a very interesting over the counter supplement to treat infertility.
It's called Male Reproductive Factors. People seem to be really high on this product.
It has an interesting list of ingredients.
Forget about the vitamins and minerals listed on the label, because they have nothing to do with the effectivenes of this supplement.
The Proprietary Blend of herbs and amino acids is what interests me.
Here's the list,
Damiana Leaf, Aletris Root, Oriental Ginseng Root, Inositol, Arginine, Glutamine, Fenugreek Seed, Sarsaparilla Root, Saw Palmetto Berry, Cysteine, Methionine, Cloves.
Lot's of familiar names here, but a few interesting surprises!
Great Reviews!
I was reading the reviews on this product and it received 5 stars across the board from everyone who rated it.
Here's a quote from one reviewer that really caught my attention...
"I am 25 years old and a cancer survivor. After undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, my sperm count was 0. Once a year I go back to the infertility clinic to get my count checked and every year there has been little to no change. I bought and started taking the Male Reproductive Factors about 4 months ago. I went back to the clinic today and the doctor was shocked, my count was almost back to normal and is expected to be normal shortly...."
I'm not looking to have children, but if I was, I think I'd try this product if I was having trouble conceiving.
A lot less complicated than going to a fertility clinic, and a lot cheaper too.
