Teenage Obesity! Diets for Overweight Teens!
Hello,
My name is Jose, and I am 15 years old.
When I was around 13, I started noticing that I was gaining a lot of fat around my thigh and hip area and I have a small stomach.
Over time, it got worse so my body basically looks like a woman's body, like a pear.
I don't know what to do, I never talked to anybody about this because I don't know what's wrong with me, so when I saw your website it gave me some hope.
It would mean a lot if you wrote back and could help me out.
Thanks!

Hello Jose,
Your English is good, so I'm going to assume you're from right here in the the US.
If I'm correct, welcome to the club!
Teenagers in this country, more often than not, aren't doing so well!
I live close to a high school, so I see first hand, the pathetic physical condition of the average teenager living here.
Bad teeth, braces, acne, and bloated, overweight body's are the norm.
It's not a pretty picture.
If you're looking for an answer to your problems Jose, look no further than your diet!
If you're a typical teenager, you've beaten down the path, many times, to the front door of your local McDonald's.
The cashier at the quick mart, where you buy your Coca Cola, Twinkies, and big bags of Doritos, probably knows you by your first name!
Captain Crunch and Pop Tarts for breakfast, macaroni and cheese, and frozen pizza out of a box for dinner!
Bleached white flour, high fructose corn syrup, and hydrogenated soybean oil are your main staples when following this diet plan, Jose.
And health food?
These days, it's typically one of those sugar laden Fruit Roll Ups you seem to find on every single aisle of the grocery store.
When I was a kid, we didn't call this stuff health food, we called it candy!
You're a smart kid Jose.
You're surrounded by overweight friends and peers, and it would be very easy to just go with the flow.
Everyone else is fat, so what's the problem?
Here's what I like about you...
You've figured out that it really is a problem.
That means your smarter, and much wiser than the average teenager walking the streets.
Good for you!
Your plan from here on out is very simple, Jose.
