High Carb Foods & the Caveman Diet!

Hi Mark,

I was reading your site & really found that you might be able to help me.

I am 27 yrs old and I exercise very hard and feel that I eat right.

I do eat a lot of carbs, but they are organic carbs.

My bodyfat is really bad, chest and stomach are very giggly especially my man-boobs.

I was once very ripped which was only about 2 yrs ago when I was at the bodyweight of 154lbs.

Now I weigh 177 lbs, but every time I go to lose the weight I feel like my body just gets even more giggly & soft.

When you talk about caveman eating, are there carbs involved such as starches, and can you inform me of them?

I just don't wanna starve myself.

I really need help and I know I can follow a certain way of eating if someone informs me how.

Please help!

High Carb Foods & the Caveman Diet!

Hi Chuck,

Let's place you into your distant ancestors shoes for a moment....

Walking in a forest naked, with nothing but a spear in your hand.

Now ask yourself what types of foods would be available to you under these conditions.

Here's a quick rundown for you...

Meat

Poultry

Fish

Eggs

Nuts

Seeds

Fruit

Fibrous plants

As you can see, the only concentrated carb source is fruit and it was only available seasonally.

Plus it was nothing like the modern, extremely sweet fruit you find in your local supermarket.

If you've ever tasted an orange from a wild citrus tree... small, sour, pithy, and full of seeds, you know what I'm talking about.

We're not looking at a lot of sugar here!

Some groups also harvested honey occasionally, and there are a few other exceptions.

But...

The list above provides a pretty good snapshot of what your distant ancestors called food for multiple thousands of years.

High Carb Foods & the Caveman Diet!

As you study the list above, you'll find that many modern foods are missing.

There's no bleached white flour, sugar, cereal, chips, french fries, crackers, bread, cookies, or super-sized soft drinks, organic or otherwise.

If you're looking for the source of your giggly stomach and flabby chest, look no further than the list above.

Eliminate these foods from your diet entirely, and focus on the real food discussed at the top of this page.

Do this, and I promise you, you'll never have to worry about your weight again.

But I have to warn you, the road ahead will not be easy for you.

Refined carbs can be very addictive, and based on your email above I'm pretty sure you're an addict.

How do I know that?

Because you wrote....

I eat a lot of carbs... please tell me what carbs I can eat.... and I was overweight as a kid.

You're obsessed with carbs now, and I know for a fact that you were obsessed with them as a child.

How?

Because it's impossible for a kid to become overweight without becoming close buddies with Frito Lay, Hostess, Coca Cola, and Captain Crunch.

Here's the bottom line...

Excess consumption of refined carbohydrates caused your childhood weight problems, and they are causing your weight problems today as well.

If you're ready to shut down this cycle, the solution is very simple.

Break your addiction to refined carbohydrates, and start filling your belly with real food.

Do this and you'll never have to worry about hunger, weight gain, belly fat, or a flabby chest again.

cutting out the starch works
by: Don

I have been on a diet based on the information on this website for about 6 or 7 weeks. I no longer eat any grains or refined sugar. I have switched to organic produce and meats sources. I only eat meat, fish, eggs, mono-unsaturated and saturated fats, raw tree nuts, fruit and vegetables, and occasionally dark chocolate.

So far, I have gone from 207 pounds to 191 pounds, and from a size 38" jeans to less than size 36" jeans. My man-boobs are almost gone and my over-all musculature has become much more toned. At age 42, I have not looked or felt this good since I was a teenager.

Sure, when I first started the diet, I missed foods I used to eat, especially pizza. But after a couple of weeks, I began to feel so much better that I no longer craved the carbs that really make you feel sluggish if you eat too many. Also, I never go hungry following the diet.

Cutting out the high carb foods has been a great help for me!
