Is not low fat!

I don't care what you've heard anywhere else, a low fat diet is not a healthy diet.

There, I said it!

Dean Ornish and his crew are probably loading their rifles as we speak.

Testosterone Food!

Fat has become the evil demon in our society, and for no good reason!

I'll have a salad, hold the cheese cheese, low cal dressing on the side please.

Sounds tasty huh?

Not to me!

Give me Paleo Foods, such as rib eye, preferably grass fed, a big dose of broccoli or any other cruciferous vegetable, with just a little taste of red wine.

Now that's health food!

Diets-High Fat!

What about carbs you say?

Unless you're a hardcore athlete spending 10 or more hours in the gym a week, you don't need that many.

In other words, the carbs will take care of themselves.

Don't believe me. Put your mouse down for a minute, and go take a look in your refrigerator.

Fat Testosterone!

Quality fat will increase your low testosterone levels. When I say quality fat, I'm not talking about soy, corn, or cotton seed oils in a clear plastic bottles sitting on the grocery store shelf. As a matter of fact, I'm not talking about polyunsaturated oils at all.

Poly fats will reduce your testosterone levels!

I'm talking about mono fats from olives and avocados, and saturated fat from beef and egg yolks.

Yup, I'm talking old school bodybuilder food!

In his younger days, Jack Lalanne almost choked to death drinking cows blood. It coagulated in his throat on the way down, and just about sent him down the river.

Now, you don't need to take it that far, not even close. All I ask is that you start eating REAL food.

Saturated and monounsaturated Fats!

Look at these results from a study done in 1984

"The possible effect of dietary fat content and the ratio of polyunsaturated to saturated fatty acids on serum sex hormones was studied in 30 healthy male volunteers.

The customary diet of the subjects, which supplied 40% of energy as fat (mainly from animal sources) was replaced for a 6 weeks by a diet containing significantly less fat, (25 percent)

The low fat diet resulted in a 15% drop in total testosterone, with corresponding drops in free T and androstenedione.

The researchers concluded,

"Our results indicate that in men a decrease in dietary fat content and an increase in the degree of unsaturation of fatty acids reduces the serum concentrations of androstenedione, testosterone and free testosterone"


Another testosterone diet study from 1987 study put men on a high-fat (50 percent of calories from fat) for 2 weeks, then had them switch to a low-fat diet (about 10 percent of calories from fat) for 2 weeks.

The result?

Their free testosterone levels dropped by a whopping 21 percent while on the low-fat diet!
